Let's always be a little bit like Jules Verne, Indiana Jones and Baloo the bear in life... curious, adventurous, open to the unknown – and at the same time calmly enjoying whatever comes our way.
It is precisely this blend of spirit of discovery, cultural curiosity and joie de vivre that characterises us and our establishment. We love to be on the move – both in the world and in our thoughts. We travel, discover, listen and observe closely. Music, art, literature, nature, history and much more are things that are close to our hearts.
As hosts, we therefore see ourselves a little like travel companions: with the imagination of Jules Verne, who inspires us to seek out new horizons; with the curiosity of Indiana Jones, who reads tracks, solves puzzles and discovers stories; and with the warmth of Balu, who knows that the essential and the enjoyable often lie in simplicity.
We are Tobi, a project manager from Switzerland, and Nadine, a librarian from Germany.
In addition to German, French and English, our common language is the joy of exchange.
Why do we love the Aumônerie so much? Because it leaves room.
Room for silence and conversation, for music, a good book, for cooking together and also for being alone. We enjoy this place just as much in company as we do on our own. For us, the Aumônerie is not a retreat from the world, but rather a reflection of our experiences, which we can bring with us and allow to linger. With us as your hosts, there are no MUSTs. And yet the house invites you to do many things.
Perhaps that is precisely what makes this place so special: it thrives on what we love and want to share. On openness, curiosity and the joy of not just seeing things, but really experiencing them. We offer our guests a place to arrive – at themselves and with each other.
